Program Overview
A strong mathematical foundation with hands-on programming and project-based work, pairing rigorous theory with building software that works. How competitive: for fall 2025, ASU admitted 90% of its 8,906 international first-year applicants (88% of all 69,617). It sets no IB minimum: international first-year applicants need a 3.00 GPA (a B average) from secondary school, three years of coursework and a completed diploma, and the SAT and ACT are optional; some majors set higher criteria. The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering also ask for a 1210 SAT or 24 ACT, or a 3.00 GPA in ASU's competency courses, or a top 25% class rank.
