Program Overview

Industrial Engineering and Decision Analytics is the engineering of making smart decisions based on domain-specific knowledge, data, model and analysis. Our major in Decision Analytics is designed to equip students to meet the current and future societal needs of the knowledge economy. Students enrolled in this program are trained to analyze real-world data, build and fit models that are consistent with these data, develop algorithms, simulate models, and design process and system innovations to find optimal solutions to important decision problems. They pursue careers in domain-specific areas such as financial engineering or consulting services, including risk management, supply and demand analytics, e-commerce, revenue optimization, health-care analytics, and even sports analytics.
