Program Overview
Health, pharma, and biotechnology are of outstanding social and economic importance – and they rely on the systematic processing of biological data. Students on the Bachelor's degree program in Bioinformatics learn to analyze this data and to make it applicable. How it is decided: places are limited (a local numerus clausus) and allocated by LMU, which runs the program with TUM and enrolls students for both. LMU publishes no cut-off on its program pages. Teaching is in German. Your IB proves your German only with German A at HL; otherwise TUM asks for a certificate such as DSH-2, TestDaF with 4 in all four parts, or telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule.
