Information Engineering (Heilbronn)

Program Overview

The Bachelor's program in Information Engineering at TUM Campus Heilbronn conveys the knowledge and skills necessary to design holistic IT systems from the sensor to the business model. How TUM decides: an aptitude assessment. TUM's score out of 100 weights your IB total, converted to a German grade, at 65% and your grades in maths (×3), English and your best science or computer science at 35%. A score of 73 or more admits you, 59 or less does not, and in between you are invited to an interview. On TUM's formula, with 6s in those subjects, an IB total of 32 or more passes outright, and 25 or below is turned down (our calculation from TUM's rules, not a figure TUM publishes). Teaching is in English, and TUM checks your English in the aptitude assessment. TUM also asks for basic German: German A or B at HL, or a certificate such as Goethe-Zertifikat A2.
