Program Overview

(BCIT) is a multi-disciplinary Business degree incorporating intercultural competencies and linguistic knowledge, which promote creativity and comprehension of a rapidly evolving world. Students pursue a major in business alongside a minor in a chosen language. This programme combines a flexible business education from Ireland's leading business school with the linguistic skills and multicultural insights required to succeed in the exciting world of international business. How competitive: applicants from the EU apply through the CAO and are ranked on points. In round 1 of 2026, places went to applicants with 543 points or more (not everyone on 543 got a place). UCD does not publish how it scores the IB. On Trinity College Dublin's indicative scale for the IB, that is about 41 points, or about 38 with Higher Level Mathematics at 4 or better, which adds 25. Applicants from outside the EU apply to UCD directly, where 33 points makes them eligible to compete for a place.
