Dental Science

Program Overview

Dental Science is the study of the oral cavity and the diseases associated with oral tissues. This five-year programme is designed to ensure that graduates can safely and effectively deliver the full range of primary dental care, including prevention, diagnosis and treatment of oral and dental diseases. How competitive: applicants from the EU apply through the CAO and are ranked on points. In round 1 of 2026, places went to applicants with 625 points or more (not everyone on 625 got a place). An IB Diploma alone tops out at 600 on Trinity's indicative scale, so that took the full 45 points plus the 25 that Higher Level Mathematics at 4 or better adds. Applicants from outside the EU apply to Trinity directly and are assessed individually.
