Program Overview

Environmental Science and Engineering is a new integrated undergraduate with postgraduate degree course that aims to train the next generation of graduates who have the competencies, knowledge and experience necessary to design and deploy solutions that protect and improve our environment and human wellbeing, and that work with rather than against the natural world to foster biodiversity, climate action and sustainable use of Earth’s finite resources Students complete an integrated five-year course consisting of four year B.Sc. plus an additional year of study leading to either Masters in Engineering (Studies) a M.A.I. (St.) or Masters in Applied Environmental Science. How competitive: applicants from the EU apply through the CAO and are ranked on points. In round 1 of 2026, places went to applicants with 545 points or more. On Trinity's indicative scale for the IB, and counting the 25 points that this course's Higher Level Mathematics adds, that is about 39 points. Applicants from outside the EU apply to Trinity directly and are assessed individually.
