Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education in Language Education - English

Program Overview

Jointly offered by the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Education, this programme enables students to earn both a BA in English language and linguistics and a BEd in English language education over five years of study. Following graduation, you will meet the requirements for English language teachers in both primary and secondary schools as recommended by the HKSAR government. The curriculum integrates academic and professional studies in language education including pedagogical, psychological and sociological underpinnings of professional practice, with teaching experience in local schools. The programme is equivalent to a BA plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Education – a professional teaching qualification recognised locally.
