In computer science, it's all about information, or rather the scientific and technical ways of processing, storing, transmitting and presenting information and, ultimately, imparting knowledge. In addition to technical knowledge, creativity and social skills are also very important. Computer scientists are often globally active and collaborate on projects with other experts. They operate in very diverse areas of society, which include science, administration, medicine, transport, the environmental sector and finance. Thus computer science is an important mainstay of modern society.
