Program Overview

To learn how to carry out a systematic analysis and scientifically describe various criminal phenomena in current society. To develop in-depth knowledge of the main objectives of criminological analysis: crime, victims and social control. To train students in the scientific explanation of crime, based on knowledge and the use of criminological theories drawn from empirical evidence and scientific consensus. To train students to apply the knowledge they have gained in the analysis and prediction of crime risks in specific social situations and contexts. How competitive: Catalan universities rank applicants on an admission mark out of 14, and in June 2026 the last place in the first allocation went at 9.516. With UNEDasiss accreditation an IB Diploma counts as your average subject grade plus 3 (a 6 in every subject gives 9), so 9.516 took about 40 points from the six subjects. UNEDasiss's specific competence tests (PCE) add up to 2 points each (the best two count) in subjects this degree weights at 0.2, such as Mathematics, Mathematics for the Social Sciences, Business and Business Models or Geography.
