Program Overview

To become professionals with a profile that meets the demands of biotechnology companies, as well as to access a wide variety of postgraduate studies in the area. To acquire skills in the applications of biotechnology to the sustainability of production systems, waste treatment and environmental decontamination. To develop an entrepreneurial spirit by training in the basics of biotechnology project management (R&D), marketing of biotechnological products and services, and in the legal aspects. How competitive: Catalan universities rank applicants on an admission mark out of 14, and in June 2026 the last place in the first allocation went at 11.446. With UNEDasiss accreditation an IB Diploma counts as your average subject grade plus 3, so it gives at most 10: to reach 11.446, an IB applicant also needs UNEDasiss's specific competence tests (PCE), which add up to 2 points each (the best two count) in subjects this degree weights at 0.2 (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology).
