Program Overview

The bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences integrates transversal knowledge from genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, physiology, cell biology and statistics, among others, to offer a global vision of the causes of pathology and the tools available for studying, diagnosing and treating it. This bachelor's degree addresses various aspects of clinical disorders from the molecular, cellular and physiological scale to their distribution in human populations to prepare professionals capable of working in different fields: Biomedical Research, Diagnosis Laboratories, Pharmaceutical Industry, and Public Health Institutes. How competitive: Catalan universities rank applicants on an admission mark out of 14, and in June 2026 the last place in the first allocation went at 11.790. With UNEDasiss accreditation an IB Diploma counts as your average subject grade plus 3, so it gives at most 10: to reach 11.790, an IB applicant also needs UNEDasiss's specific competence tests (PCE), which add up to 2 points each (the best two count) in subjects this degree weights at 0.2 (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology).
